Great story! This painting is all over book blogosphere and I love it. I love her dress. Curiously, I never wondered what book she was reading. But I love that YOU did and decided to write around it :-)

My mother loved this painting too and had a copy hanging in our house from the time I was very young. Way back then, looking at it always made me feel that reading was a noble and important thing to do, and that may well have contributed to my being a life-long reader!
