That William Burke of Derryaghy was a coincidence, but William Hare in Lisburn could be interesting, born 1778 died 1862 in a Workhouse! Lisa's book very good!

Historical proof that William Hare and William Burke both have Lisburn links! Lisburn Cathedral Church records; WILLIAM HARE, Corporal 6th Dragoons and Maria Davis both of Lisburn Licence, married 1813 June 4th ; two pages further on; WILLIAM BURKE of Derryaghy and Elizabeth McVeigh of Lisburn Licence, married 1814 August 8th. Derryaghy Cathedral Church records, Baptism 1787 May 12th James son of James BURKE [relation?];
Bradshaw 1819 Directory, WILLIAM HARE, Market Lane, Lisburn.
More research needed on this subject??
