I think there are a few selected articles that have full access for registered users on History Today on-line version. However, I still prefer printed version of the magazine and occasionally buy it in the stores, which makes for a comfortable reading outdoors.

Hi Leslie. Thanks for calling this out. We truly did not catch it. (I subscribe and have access to the site--so didn't even think about it being a problem!)

There is no "kick back" of any sort here--promise. Our site tries simply to feature other good work by folks who love history as much as we do (through guest posts, book giveaways, and other links).

Your nice words about the site made our day! Count on us to keep bringing great information--and staying committed to great dialogue!

All best, Holly

Not impressed at all, as the top ten articles are only snippets. One must buy a subscription or 'pay per view' to view. I enjoy your blog immensely--lots of great and interesting information! But I feel that you should have explained the circumstances of the link provided in the 'promo.'
